Hugh Jackman is back in the spotlight, and we couldn't be happier.

The actor, best known for his role as Wolverine in the X-Men series, has announced that he'll be donning the claws once more for Deadpool 3. In the wake of that news, he's been speaking out about many of his early roles, including some hilarious (and raunchy) incidents that took place during his broadway days.

Hugh Jackman is returning to his biggest role.

The actor, alongside Ryan Reynolds, announced last month that he would be reprising the role of Wolverine in Deadpool 3.

The news came as a shock to many, as Wolverine passed away in the last installment of his film series, Logan.

The surprise is welcome, though.

Fans everywhere were elated by the news, including yours truly, as Jackman has always killed it as Wolverine ever since the first X-Men film in 2000.

Now, people are reminiscing on other early roles of his, including those beyond the silver screen.

That's right, he was also a broadway actor at the time!

Jackman has starred in a great number of plays and musicals throughout his career. Not just on-screen adaptations like Les Misérables and The Greatest Showman either, but real, live theater productions!

He even won a Tony for his role as Peter Allen in 'The Boy From Oz'.

In fact, that show is the subject of today's story.

In a recent cover story from Variety, Jackman said that "the most fun I ever had was playing Peter Allen" thanks to the improv opportunities he had throughout the second act.

During these segments, he'd bring audience members up on stage.

Mostly to poke fun at them, though.

"There was, I don't know, roughly 10 to 12 minutes of every show that was ad-libbed," he explained, "Once I was 50 or 60 shows in, I felt completely free to do whatever the hell I wanted. I was an [expletive] at times."

He even brought celebrities up on stage.

He told a specific story that involved TV star Barbara Walters and actor Matt Damon.

"I brought up Barbara Walters and Matt Damon, and made Matt Damon give Barbara Walters a lap dance," he recounted.

It didn't end there, though.

"[...] which turned into me giving Matt Damon a lap dance, and he didn't punch me," he said proudly.

This role of his had another notable celebrity interaction, but not during one of the broadway shows.

Instead, during his performance at the 2004 Tony Awards.

He brought up actress Sarah Jessica Parker onto the stage, nearly causing her to have a wardrobe malfunction.

"I really felt for her that night," he said, "As soon as she got up onstage, I could tell those boobs were about to come out."

Seems his broadway days put him in some truly wild situations.

It's evident he was having the time of his life, though, and was amazing as a live performer!

He's back to movies for now though, with the aforementioned Deadpool 3 appearance and his newest movie, The Son, which opens in limited theaters this November.
