On Saturday afternoon, TMZ reported that Aaron Carter was found dead in the bathtub of his California home. As fans know, the 34-year-old had struggled with addiction and mental illnes in the years before his passing.

Now, Aaron's older brother and Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter is mourning the "I Want Candy" singer's loss and was seen crying on stage during a tribute to his brother on Sunday night.

On Saturday, November 5, TMZ was the first to report that former teen idol Aaron Carter had tragically passed away.

According to several sources that spoke to the outlet, Aaron was found unresponsive in the bathtub at his home in Lancaster, California.

On Sunday, Nick Carter posted an emotional tribute to his late brother on social media.

"My heart is broken. Even though my brother and I have had a complicated relationship, my love for him has never ever faded," the 42-year-old wrote. "I have always held on to the hope that he would somehow, someday want to walk a healthy path and eventually find the help that he so desperately needed."

"Sometimes we want to blame someone or something for a loss, but the truth is that addiction and mental illness is the real villain here. I will miss my brother more than anyone will ever know."

"I love you Chizz. Now you can finally have the peace you could never find here on earth….God,Please take care of my baby brother," he concluded.

During Sunday night's Backstreet Boys concert in London, England, the band sang "No Place" while photos of Aaron Carter flashed on the screen behind them.

Understandably, Nick became very emotional and began crying. Fellow BSB members A.J. McLean, Brian Littrell, and Howie Dorough quickly went to hug Nick and vivibly became emotional themselves.

As the other bandmates comforted Nick, Kevin Richardson addressed the crowd.

“Tonight we’ve got heavy hearts because we lost one of our family members yesterday, and we just wanted to find a moment in our show to recognize him,” he said.

"Nick’s little brother, Aaron Carter passed away yesterday. He's part of our family."

“We’d like to dedicate this song to our little brother, Aaron Carter. … May he rest in heaven," Howie added.

While this is an incredibly difficult time for Nick, fans were glad to see him being so supported by his bandmates.
