Plus-Size Airplane Passenger Puts Bodyshamer In His Place

The Redditor described herself as a chubby lady sitting in the middle of an airplane. Two men flanked her with the subject of her story, Dick, on the aisle and the other party on the window seat.

Before the flight took off, Dick started reacting in discomfort due to her size, although she wasn't spilling onto his seat per her account. He took it several steps further by taking pictures of her to share with his friend group and vent his frustrations.

The Redditor caught a glimpse of the messages and decided to retaliate rather than confront him. She told him to request a seat change if she was "too fat" for his liking causing him to reduce his open animosity.

Mid-flight, he slept off, and she snapped pictures of him in his vulnerable state. When he woke, the lady ensured he saw her phone as she edited his picture and captioned it, "fat women scare me," amongst other damning sentences.

This made him realize he was wrong for his reaction the whole flight, so he retreated into his shell and stopped texting his friend group.

Several Redditors commended the poster for keeping calm in the face of insult and sympathized with her for being fat-shamed non-verbally. However, there's a different take - although Dick's reaction was out of line, he had every right to feel uncomfortable only if she spilled into his seat. He lost the plot when he took pictures of her as evidence for his friends, as a simple oral account would've sufficed. Anyway, he learned first-hand the true meaning of "They who laughs last, laughs best!"
